Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb to visit Prague and Paris

On Tuesday 13 May, Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will travel to Prague where he will meet Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg. The ministers intend to discuss, for instance, EU affairs of current interest, including the forthcoming Czech Presidency of the EU in spring 2009 and the Lisbon Treaty. Stubb will also discuss the development of Russia and the situation in Kosovo with his colleague.

Foreign Minister Stubb’s programme in Prague will also include a meeting with Czech Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vondra.

From Prague, Foreign Minister Stubb will continue his journey to Paris where, the same evening, he will attend a dinner French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner is hosting for his EU colleagues with the future EU Presidency of France as the main topic of discussion.
